i feel so hurt when the auntie said this: "why these people don't need queue up one?" from this sentence alone i know that she's a typical Singaporean as she uses our typical Singlish. but the way she says this sentence is like talking behind my back. it goes like this, i was waiting to board bus 143 at the side so that i'm not in the queue. when the bus came, i waited for those in the queue to board the bus 1st before i get on the bus. i even let she and her children to go 1st (she's in the queue by the way) but she said that when she walked past me in front of her children. i heard her speaking in malay when she chats with her children but when she said that sentence, she spoke in english. what's that supposed to mean? i would normally queue up but it happened today that i'm too tired to do so. i mean..why doesn't she says this sentence on other days to the others?
am i too sensitive?

my mum thought she misplaced her hand phone but actually she put it in my room when she went for her afternoon nap and she forgotten about it. then just now she panicked.. *haha* then when i was calling her hand phone i panicked as well because i can't hear the ringtone. then suddenly baobei meowed and slowly walked to my room then i remembered my mum's phone...baobei is so clever!! she can finally help us do something even though she's a stray.. thank goodness! :)
common test is coming again. just hate tests and exams. but i like studying though..
the 1st paper is Fundamentals of Nursing (FON) from 9-10am this Monday.
the 2nd paper is Psychology and Sociology (PAS) on Tuesday but from 6.30-7.30pm. our 1st reaction was " huh? why so late?". that's 1st time probably
then the 3rd paper is Nursing Skills Laboratory (NSL) & Anatomy and Physiology (AAP) on Wednesday from 9-10am.
finally the last paper, Microbiology and Infection Control (MIC) on Friday from 1.30-2.30pm.
stressed.
i hate are FON and MIC. :(
time really flies. it's going to be two months since the 1st day of school. anyway polytechnic life is all right for me so far..

i think i shouldn't let my happiness get over me.
i was elated when i was told that i can proceed to the semi-finals for NP Open.
it's a badminton tournament held in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
i signed up for both women's doubles and singles.
then on 22nd may, it was the 1st round of the matches.
my partner, fu yang, said she cannot go because her CITS essay has yet to be done.
in the end, the organising committee said we were disqualified from the competiton.
so i can only go for the singles match.
you are out of the competition once you lose a game in the 1st and 2nd rounds.
the 1st match was fine, with the score of 21-5.
my opponent is nang kham lin, she's a burmese and in health sciences as well.
then i was told to wait for my 2nd match later..
by the time my name was called for the 2nd match, the empire said my opponent was considered walkover because she went off at the last minute.
what was my reaction? of course i feel happy.. :)
then on the semi-finals itself, i waited for more than 2 hours for my 1st match into the finals.
i had the 1st meeting for the NDP Bay Ambassadors 2008 from 9am-1.30pm..
i had to leave early because of that NP Open semis. i was told to reach the sports hall at 12pm. when i reached there, i saw my friend, soon heng, playing singles..
then i waited and waited for more than 2 hours before they called me to play for the 1st match.
my opponent was from xinmin sec previously so her skills apparently surpasses mine..
the score is thoroughly embarrassing: 5-21, 5-21.
obviously i lost.
then i waited for my 2nd match to determine the 3rd and 4th placing.
in less than 3 mins, the empire told me to play against a girl previously from fuhua sec.
for the past 4 years in Bukit Batok Sec, we never win fuhua sec in the zonal tournaments.
so, how can i win her by myself?
therefore, i lost again.
the score was 6-21, 9-21. at least i didn't get a zero.. :P
but i'm disappointed.. i can only get a 4th placing in the tournament. they only give medals to the top 3. i wanted to leave but they told me to stay back to watch the prize presentation.
who wants to feel so embarrassed when you didn't get a medal and stayed back just to watch them get one in front of me? no, right?
but that's what they told me to do.. i thought they will be so generous to give at least a token of participation for the ones who didn't get a medal. but i was wrong. i had to pretend that i have to go off early after receiving a phone call. :(
i should not be so happy....

broke my toenail with a swipe on the discs placed on the floor in IMM's Laserflair. it bled profusely and my toenail still hanging there at my toe. >.<
it hurts even with the slightest touch. of course i had to stop the bleeding when sitting down on a chair that is meant for the bank roadshow( i think). so, A LOT of people are watching me when i clutched my last toe. oh my.. i feel so embarrassed and nobody cared.. :'(

Mummy, happy mother's day!! i love you!

just came back from the korean club camp.
it's SO FUN!! i tell you....
like usual, we had night walk. went along the haunted places in ngee ann..
i was so afraid at 1st because we were watching "wishing stairs" in korean before this night walk.
then the GLs were talking about the 'story' of ngee ann as well. slept in terribly cold air-conditioned rooms, playing around.. hanbok making sessions using newspapers, club shirt design competition, telematch games, etc. food was fine (at least they are 'edible'..) X))
i shall upload the performing video (i try) in my next post. tata for now.. :)

had NSL theory tests on 24/4 & today. results were quite good, with full marks for the 1st one and 9/10 for the 2nd one. quite proud of myself.. ^^ this shows that i didn't make the wrong choice in the 1st place. kind of getting used to climbing up the 'mountain' to block 81 almost everyday, it's a form of exercise since i don't have the time to do so... hmm.
my FON lecturer cancelled her lectures with us because she said she finished teaching us for the whole week so we can go home earlier. we were supposed to end our day at 6pm but because her lectures were cancelled, we have 4 hours of break.. then our practical group leader literally begs my NSL lecturer to bring our 4-6pm lesson forward to the formally FON lesson...luckily she said she will try to accomodate us so that we can over and done with it..
tests are coming as well for other modules, i'm afraid i'm not able to catch up..poly life is totally a different story, lecturers don't chase after you for homework or even care about you f you are not paying attention to their lectures, tutorials and even practicals. they can carry on without you..
anyway i joined korean club finally and went for their 1st session.. it's quite fun(?) because we get to learn basic korean language without having to pay for the 'tuition' fees and also movie screenings as well.. in fact, i don't regret joining. yupps. :P there's a camp coming up for korean club, i signed up for it and it's this sat. 2D1N. the shortest camp i've ever went..i wonder if there's any difference between this and the other sports camp? let's see. :)
