I realised that I didn't stick to what I have said in my previous posts. I said I will try not to accumulate all the things I want to say in one post because this will actually bore the person reading. *sigh*
It's more than a year since my last post and I have yet to comment on my Uni course which I have already completed my first year. :O
Time flies at the speed of light! Haha. Though it's already old news, I thought it would be nice to just update you people.
My hospital was kind enough to compensate me $5700 for my work-related injury I had in July last year. Saved $1000 in my bank and I bought an iPad @ around S$900. Lol. It kind of defeats the purpose of saving right? Haha.
And so I started my university life in September. Meeting new friends (and some old ones like Siti, Nina, Eugenie, Serena, Koon Teck, Vanessa, Percie, etc) and new lecturers from both UOM and NYP. A hassle for me to travel all the way down to Yio Chu Kang for school and Siti said it's now my turn to travel this far to school because she used to do that during our poly days. That is cruel, Siti. -.-
The next few months passed with ease and school starts to stress me out with all the word counts for my essays. Results were......bahhhh. One word: disappointed. :( our lecturer told us not to expect high marks for our modules because unlike poly, it is rare to get marks above 70. Passing mark is 40 and getting a 50s is good enough. Only had one exam for Psychology and the rest are all essay-based.
One of our UOM lecturers/ our programme director, Dr Carole, is such a nice lady. A pity that she is leaving us because of personal reasons. Missed her do much! :(
Preparations for my OIP trip was done. Flight tickets, train tickets and attraction tickets were all booked and paid. Flight price was $1395 from STA Travel; some of my friends got it at $1100 because they were lucky to buy it during the sale period. :( wasted almost $300 because I was indecisive whether I want my trip to end at 3rd August which is too long for me. I booked the tickets together with Yuanmei in the end after knowing that she also doesn't want to extend that long for her trip and we agreed on the day we want to end the whole trip which is 26th July. Train tickets were from Manchester to London and from London to Paris. Will spend 2 days in both London and Paris.
April came and my cousins were kind enough to sponsor me for the preparations for my 21st birthday. My dad actually bought a new sofa, TV console, coffee table, study desks and wardrobe so that it will look nicer when the guests come to my house. My guest list was kinda complete in the sense that my secondary school mates, poly mates and my uni mates came. Only my primary school mates weren't here, partly because I didn't invite most of them except for Xiao Ling. She couldn't make it in the end and so no one from my primary school came. I even invited my secondary school teachers (Ms Chua, Ms Tay and Mr Pu)! I was shocked when they say they are coming when I invited them! Haha!
The best part is that they thought we were physiotherapists or occupational therapists! LOL.
The moment has arrived! The highlight of my uni life! Our OIP trip to Manchester!!!!
For this, I will specially make another post to talk about the trip of my life(?)! Haha.
See you guys in my next post!
그때 까지. :)
